Three MONTHS!

Kade is three months old today! Where has the time gone? I am so lucky to have such a wonderful baby, she is amazing to Kelton and I and now I find myself wondering what I did before with all my extra time.  This months likes are....

*LOVES to smile, she is always smiling at you which is amazing
*She is almost giggling when you tickle her
*Outside
*Her Pack
*Going to football practice with Dad
*Licking Nana's shoulder, eating and sucking her own arm
*Giving kisses
*Going to Jakes baseball games!
*Now, don't think Kelton and I are losing our minds, but we have taught her to wave and I think she likes it?

Plus she still loves all the other things on her two month check in as well......

Back to Work!

So.... we all made it through our first day; my first day back to work, Kade's first day at Holli's house, My moms first night with Kade....  I think that everyone did really well....... I think Kade probably did better with this whole thing then I did lol.  Going back to work after three months seemed crazy weird to me, I am sure it will only take a couple of days for the info to come pouring back to me (or at least I can hope so)

Summer Time

Its summer! I am so happy it is summer, yet I am not sure why it had to wait so LONG to get here.  Last night Kade was introduced to one of my favorite summer time snacks.... POPSICLES!

Any of you  who know me, and know me well, know that I love pineapple, so Kade got the first licks of some summer time goodness.

I hope its not too soon to shout for joy!!! Kaydence now takes a bottle from not just me but Kelton, Declan, and my Grandma!!! YEAH! In one short week she has gone from pushing it away to figuring out that its pretty good stuff.  You do not even know the amount of relief I am feeling at this point.... I am so proud of her; well and of myself as well! :)

Happy Fathers Day!

So poor Kelton,

I had been planning this whole "fathers day" from the get go. HOWEVER, every time I went to do one more thing on my list of 'to dos' to make the day go over smooth, he kept spoiling it!!!!  So the long and short of it is really....

 HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!
(This is Keltons new 'hang out' Kade and I worked on it all week so now he can get some alone time once in a while!)

Family!

It's nights like tonight that make me understand how great it is to be a family. I really appreciate how much my little brothers are apart of who I am.  If you don't know already, I pretty much think they are some of, if not the funniest people I know.  I don't even know where to begin with the quote of the day but...... I will just pick a few of my favorites....

Jake got a new baseball bat that he saved $90 worth of allowance to buy.... and let me tell you by the end of the night everyone knew it was a "composite baseball bat".... I mean the kid carried the instructions on how to take care of it in his pocket and was even tempted to ask if he could take the bat into the restaurant where we were having dinner after his game..... so on with the quote;

Jake:" Well you know this bat is the best because it a composite baseball bat."
Dad: " What does composite mean?"
Jake:" Well I don't know, but it must mean its a good bat!"

HAHAHA

Now on with Declan... he has been doing a great job of being Jakes number one fan during his all-star baseball games and low and behold we went to a really fancy part in Meridian, ID where they have at least 8 baseball fields, a HUGE play area for the kids, a rock wall, and most importantly water features for kids to play in ( it even has a lifeguard)......... so on with the quote;

Declan: " Mom, this water park must be for the poor people."
Mom: "Why do you say that?"
Declan:"Well its no roaring springs."

HAHAHA

Of course he has more then one... this one is Keltons favorite tonight....

Declan:"Kelton, need any salt?"
Kelton : "No Thanks."
Declan: " O Im just going to have a heart attack someday because I love salt!" "Yep I am definitely going to have a heart attack soon."

HAHAHA

So needless to say, at the end of the day I might be the only one who thinks they are pretty funny but it just makes me love them more.  I think most of all it really makes me miss my little brother Connor !
(Because I know he would have been sitting right next to me laughing too!)

"I love that BIG flower on her head!"

I love making these silly flowers for Kade to wear EVERYDAY.  I even have my husband trained to know that she always gets to wear a flower that matches her outfit.
It is starting to get really fun making these.... I think I might even be getting a little carried away; who knows maybe this will lead to a part time job!

It's bottle time..

~-OK-~
So today marks the second day of all day bottle feedings.... Kade and I survived the first day and I am happy to say that my daughter did not starve either.  She ate 8oz. from a bottle yesterday and I was so proud.  We are trying to get her on a routine so that it will make it much easier for her to know that during the day no matter who is watching her ( Me, Kelton, My Mom, Holli) that she will always get the bottle until night time and early morning.
I am hoping that we will get the hang of this by the time I need to go back to work.
So far so good....

Yellow Pine!

Well we just got back from Yellow pine, ID.  We had so much fun.  It was nice to get away for a couple of days and for Kelton not to have homework.  It seems like any free time that we have are shared with the baby .... she is just so stinkin' cute we cant stop staring!
(Thank you to our parents and grandparents who watched our dogs while we were gone, we love you all!!!)

Splish Slash I LOVE MY BATH!!!

O gosh-  Kade LOVES her bath ... it is like a light switch she is so happy and content; but the second you take her out we have a beat read face and a large amout of crying that follows...... (I had to post a pic of her new duck that keeps her warm while dad gives her baths!- I know I am so lucky Kelton always bathes her.)

Time is Flying....

  • Hello All-

Again I don't know where all the time has gone since I last posted a blog but here I go again.... Kade is getting SO BIG just when I think we have figured out her sleeping patterns and what her likes and dislikes are she switches them up. It must be something to make sure Kelton and I are doing our job as parents.

She has a whole list of likes which include the following:

    • Bath Time

    • Our Poppisan Chair

    • Talked too/Sung too

    • Her pack (which I thought she would HATE)

    • Music Time with Dad ( Maybe she will be musically inclined - unlike Kelton or I)

    • Her Mobile

    • Ace Kisses (sometimes Ace is the only one that can calm her down)

    • Her Uncles!

    • Facing out (she HATES being confined or bound in any way)

Those are just a few and I am sure when Kelton reads this he will mention a ton of things I have missed! We are truly blessed to have such a good baby. Our other babies Ace, ESPY, and Libby are starting to adjust to life as second best! (Well some of them better then others)

When they say that your life has change I do agree now, things have changed but only for the better in my option. Now I am excited when I find a $3 off coupon for diapers, or that I made it through the day with a shower but in the end its all good. I will keep you posted on the things that are changing in our life because everyday is seeming to be a whole new adventure.

Shes HERE!!!

Well I know we haven't been keeping up with this blog nearly as much as we should. However, I am finally starting to feel good and I figured no time like the present to pick it up a notch. Well Kaydence is now three weeks old...." Where has the time gone?" Kelton and I are learning what things she likes and doesn't like and on any given day she makes her mind up that she doesn't like anything at all..lol.. She is a GREAT baby thus far and this has helped in the sleeping department for all of us. I hope that someday very soon that she will start to smile and show us that personality ...

Puppies, Tears, and O now what?

(I wanted proof ....I do take them EVERYWHERE with me;
I'm the *new* mom)

It has been a while since I last wrote a blog to let you know what is going on in the world of the Jensens. Well lets see the latest news is our first baby Libby (our shih tzu) is sick. She is having trouble with her spine and the vet isn't sure if at this point it is degenerative or something that happen when she had her puppies. So in turn her mom (ME) is very emotional about the whole thing. She is taking a ton of pain meds to help her out and we will know more on Tue around her progress. Also one of the puppies is mighty sick and is on meds as well........So what that means is I have become mom to four little pups, it has been very interesting weaning these puppies early for Libby's health. Lets just say I have been more then a basket case with emotions the last four days. ( If were to play do-overs I don't think I would have chose to do the puppy thing at seven months prego!)

However we do have some good news on the horizon. Kelton got to go see the Fiesta Bowl this year. I think he had a great time; anything with football or sports attached too it has my husbands mouth watering.
Drum roll please.................Kelton got an internship with Meridian High School and will be doing work with the Athletic Program there. I am so very proud of him and cant wait to see where this leads him in the future.

And last but not least we (Kelton and I) bought our first baby item! Lookout world we are big spenders now!
